I think it’s fair to say that the Kawasaki ZX-10R is the most hardcore sportsbike money can buy. Ever since the first model was launched in 2004 it’s had a reputation as a bike for experts only. With about 180bhp on…

It seems that the world is determined to make Pontiac two-seaters suffer the terrible fate of poor transmogrification into half-baked exotic replicas. Fieros are the common victim, but this yellow spud is the result of some Idahoans attacking a Solstice. With the top down and yellow paint making you squint, it’s evocative of the Lamborghini that it’s attempting to rip off, but it’s all over when the top goes up and that telltale Solstice convertible-top-cum-baseball-cap sees the light of day. We can’t find any mention of the donor Solstice being a GXP, which would support the seller’s claim of a $32,000 starting point. Additionally, a Solstice with an automatic is abhorrent, but a Lamborghini, even a replica, with an autobox is just asking for ridicule, especially when you’ve fiddled with the exhaust to make the note extra annoying. Lastly, we can’t fathom why you’d drop the $70K these guys want for some homebuilt thing, when you can get a real Lamborghini for $27 grand.

We’re already gotten a taste of Ford’s Hi-Pa Drive F-150, but there are three more tweaked trucks coming to SEMA, each with their own unique take on pickup customization.
The first, and easily our favorite, is the DEWALT Contractor Concept (above) that takes the F-150 Heavy Duty to new levels of functionality. Aside from the addition of a beefy rhino bar, bed cage, some body ornamentation, upgraded suspension and rolling stock, the DEWALT is equipped with a built-in power-tool charger hidden in the center console, a custom storage area beneath the second-row seats and the Ford Works Solutions Tool Link system that keeps track of what’s on board and what you left at the job site.
Joining the DEWALT is the F-150 FX-4 by X-Treme Toyz that attempts to balance a rugged lifestyle with a bit of urban refinement, along with the Street Scene Equipment Lariat that should look at home prowling the Vegas Strip.
We’ll have live shots of each truck next week, but in the meantime, check the press release below the fold for all the details.

With the title showdown coming closer, its Felipe Massa this time who has commenced the mindgames. Reacting sharply to reports that his title chances are considerably lesser than Lewis Hamilton’s, Felipe Massa had a lot to say.
“It is impossible to predict what will happen, but I think our car has always been very good at this circuit” the Brazilian Ferrari driver Felipe Massa said.
“I have my people behind me and all the pressure will be on Hamilton, especially when you think about what happened at this race last year.”
“The pressure on me is zero”
“It’s true that I have a harder job ahead of me to win the world title than for Lewis in terms of points but my game plan for the end of the week is more simple than his.”
“The one thing I must do is win. After that it’s just a case of seeing exactly what he has done and how many points we can win back.”
Last year too Lewis Hamilton was heavily favoured to win the title, but it didnt happen as he suffered gearbox problems. Hamilton eventually finished 7th in the last race last year if my memory serves me correctly.
Both Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton are vying for their maiden formula one driver’s title. While Hamilton has a 7 point advantage over Felipe Massa, Massa enjoys home crowd support at Brazil.
If Massa wins the championship , he shall be the first Brazilian since Ayrton Senna to win the title , Senna won the title in 1991.
Massa further exuded his confidence by claiming to know all the tricks and secrets of the Brazilian track.
Well what Massa said is true to a certain extent, he just has to win the race and hope Hamilton is sixth or below in the finish order. On the other hand its even easier for Hamilton, Lewis simply has to finish in top 5 and not care about Massa at all.
P.s. Why do i get this feeling that some penalty might decide the title ? ![]()

All the F1 drivers (well, nearly) turned out to see Coulthard’s one-off car
David Coulthard will race in a special livery to celebrate his final F1 Grand Prix at Interlagos this weekend as was tipped here by Becken yesterday.
Here is a collection of photographs of the one-off paint scheme his Red Bull will sport.
Only Coulthard’s Red Bull will carry the special colour scheme. Ordinarily the F1 rules require cars to appear in very similar paint schemes, but after obtaining the approval of all the teams Coulthard was granted a dispensation.
The paint scheme is also to raise money for the Red Bull-backed Wings for Life charity. Last year both Red Bulls raced at Silverstone in a livery composed of thousands of photographs of the team’s fans, also to support Wings for Life.
Coulthard said:
I dedicate my last race to the vision of making paraplegia curable.

Lewis Hamilton is my pick for victory for the second race in a row - and the title
Heading into the final race of the season the momentum and the expected track conditions seem to favour Lewis Hamilton.
But last year was a case study in how championships that look like foregone conclusions can still be lost.
Will history repeat itself at Interlagos? Make your predictions for the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix below.
On paper, you’d be a fool to bet against Hamilton to win the Brazilian Grand Prix. He dominated the last round in a manner that told you exactly how little the criticism being hurled at him from many of his rivals affected his mental balance.
As mentioned in the Brazilian Grand Prix preview, Bridgestone are bringing harder tyres, which should suit McLaren better. Although Interlagos has been a ‘Ferrari track’ in recent years, so was Shanghai.
Since writing the race preview the weather forecasts have swung towards a wet weekend. This is where McLaren and Hamilton have excelled this year: particularly when a track moves from dry to wet conditions and when it is fully soaked.
Rain or shine, Hamilton’s chances of victory are, on paper, very good. But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t suffer a repeat of any of last year’s blunders (the first lap mistakes, the gearbox glitch, the strategy error) or be clobbered by the random hand of the stewards once more.
I think Ferrari will be strong enough to clinch the constructors’ championship, but their positions in this last race will reflect Kimi Raikkonen’s revival in these late races:
1. Lewis Hamilton
2. Kimi Raikkonen
3. Felipe Massa
That would make Hamilton the drivers’ champion and Ferrari the constructors’ champions.
Chinese Grand Prix predictions results
After a string of flawed predictions I finally nailed one at China. The only thing wrong with my podium prediction for Shanghai was that I didn’t put any money on it…
Congratulations to DMW who also got the top three exactly right.
What’s your podium prediction for the Brazilian Grand Prix?
Plus a bonus question: Who will with the two championships?
